Dialing in a barrel in the lathe and my dial indicator's taken a dump... just SWELL...  Oh well, I got 13+ years outta that thing so I guess it could be worse..

That's better than thinking a barrel is dialed in with a indicator that is flakey and making chips with a barrel that is out.

I bought a sherr-tumico tenths with a 2" face......holy smokes that extra inch helps.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

They're excellent, but the Mitutoyo does a good job and saves me a buck or two..
