Cause you can't get them. They sell for only $375-400, but Keltec in their infinite wisdom must be building 1 a day. They claim they are building 500 a day, but won't say where they are going. Store I work at has had 4 units come in in the past 2 years. The double magazine 14 round shotgun they make, has been out over 3 years and we haven't seen one yet.

Check the kel Tec link I posted. MSRP is $415 for the gun + 2 mags. The price gouging has carried the price to over 700 in some gun shops that are lucky enough to have an unfired unit.

why are these so desirable? 13 ounces empty, and ony 19.5 ounces loaded up with THIRTY ROUNDS of pretty powerful stuff. Horny CD ammo clocks 1400fps with thier new 45gr bullet from my PMR 30. Probably the ultimate woods walking/survival handgun extant. I have an extra 30 round magazine so have 90 rounds available really damn quicklike but don't notice the weight as I hike around. They fit any holster designed for a 1911, as well. Houndsmen who chase big cats are clamouring for them, too. THE prefect weapon for such ventures. Not qa bad choece as a carry weapon. Light and LOTS of firepower.

It's pretty impressive when you start pulling the trigger - after 11-15 rounds the continued fire just sounds like WTH !!!
I got 2 extra magazine for mine, and they are extremely hard to get ahold of, unless your a lucky SOB.
You do have to load the magazine in a specific manner or they can get sticky.

Try it slamming your finger back and forth inside the trigger guard  it is a fun, but expensive, 8-10 seconds. Such a display would probably help a lot in scattering a crowd of looters or rioters. At least the ones still standing or somewhat still ambulatory would be running..... then you quickly switch out the mags and are ready for another 8 second go round. All with a gun that can go almost anywhere anytime with you, easily. What is not to love?
