Anyone use em? I watch wildlife more and more so than shoot anymore.

They are designed first to bring things closer so you can see them better. You'd probbly get some type photo but I doubt that redrabbit could get the quality of photo's he post's if he were using a bino camera rather than a camera and lense designed to take good photo's first.

95% of camera quality is the glass. Since a photo is a still, distortions will show up much more than they will with binos and a moving target. To get binos with photo quality glass, you're talking a lot of money. That's not saying you can't get some decent photos with them, but you won't get the great ones.

I too try to stay away from multitasking gimmics. Typically they don't do anything really well. If one component goes one is packing around useless weight just to retain use of the second. Stay with dedicated gear.
