Nice looking bear Troy! I'm jealous and not afraid to admit it. 8 more days until I get to look for one.

Congratulations Troy--You Da Man!
But, it's obvious that "you Da Man" as evidenced by the fact that you had to wear 2 different hats for the hero shots to make all your sponsors happy! (What's up with the two hat thing? Just curious.)
Pretty cool though! Glad that the total experience was great and that the killing was just icing on the cake.
Have a great summer! Post some artwork!!
Take Care!

Wader's good noticing. Didn't wear hats for sponsors. Here in Montana we aren't required to wear a blaze orange hat for big game hunting. In Wyoming it is required. I haven't bought an orange hat in nearly 20 years. Anyway, a few year's ago Len Backus the owner of Longrangehunting.com sent me a few hats and among them was thankfully an orange hat. So I wore it during the hunt. However any time I wasn't engaged in hunting I wore my lucky Snorkel Bob's hat from Hawaii. So after a couple photos after first killing the bear, I remembered I had that stupid orange colored hat on and switched it for the rest of the pic's. In my opinion orange totally distracts from field photos. As a rule I usually take one or two with orange, just to prove I was wearing it, and then get rid of it for the rest of the pic's. Just a personal pet peeve against blaze orange I guess.
Is it Friday yet?

Got it. Here in WA, we're saddled with 400 sq. in. of blaze orange to be worn above the waist. Just a hat won't get you there, so everybody has an orange vest. We call other hunters "pumpkins" because of the orange vests. You might meet a guy in a coffee shop and he'll say something like, "Yeah, I was out at the end of the 4200 line, glassing the clear cut, but I could see two pumpkins on the other side of it so I left." Anyhoo, congrats on the cool bear. Glad you had your "Snorkel Bob's" hat along! (Isn't it funny what stuff becomes essential equipment?! )

Waders, Montana requires the same 400 inches above the waist. So I usually just wear a vest, but have my Snorkel Bob's hat or another lucky M2D camo hat on. You are right it is funny how stuff like lucky hats, socks, or underwear become essential gear. For me it's just hats, but I've got friends that swear by the other two.

Great bear and nice story. Now if you'd please tell us all the rest of the pertinent details. Where in WY was it?
