Were it not for the generations of American patriots, past and present, who stood united in sworn defense of our nation and interests, seeking not glory, but the preservation of our freedoms and way of life, my family'd not have had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful trip up north. With little fanfare, but a powerful sense of duty and willingness to defend--to the death, if necessary-- the freedoms we enjoy in this magical land are 100% due to our military.

Count my family as one who never have, and shall never, ever forget those to whom we both personally and collectively owe so much, and are humbled by: our brave fellow countrymen. Your sacrifices were never in vain, and will never be forgotten.

May God continue to bless and shed grace on these United States of America.

Hope folks have a great Memorial Day holiday.

Looks as though you had a great time.
Cool photos, except the crickets. I was eating salt and vinegar flavor potato chips till I saw those.

Great post and agree.

Though smoking right by a gas tank on a small boat in an ice cold lake with no life jacket on.....is kind of a bad recipe I think.

Thanks for the consideration and warning, but that tank isn't filled with gas, friend. It's beer.

Great pics! You really know how to handle a camera, as well as a fishing rod.

Very nice pictures, Leighton. I'd swear that no one had any fun during the entire visit, just looking at the evidence.

Great looking family you have.
