What is it? It looks like a neat little round that should in the 5.7 ballpark. I found a couple of empties at the range the other day. It looks like a 9mm necked down or something.

It's built off a cut down .223. Much like a 9x23 only longer, necked to .224". A 40 grain bullet at 2050-2100 fps. runs a 7 lb recoil spring, no real recoil. It's LOUD. It shoots well, the widebody RIA pistol is quite nice for the money. Horrid plastic grips and mainspring housing, 2 stage nasty trigger pull. Great slide to frame fit, well done and even parkerizing job, well machined.

funny if you Google this topic, this thread comes up on the first page.
More info is needed - Is it a true wildcat? you have to make the brass? Does someone have ammo?
Seems like if he provided semi-drop-in 1911 barrels anyone with a 9mm 1911 could fit one and use the round.

Rock Island is building double stack 1911s for this round. I am really interested in snagging one.

a few years ago somebody in nevada was putting together a 1911 style pistol as i remember using I THINK 30 carbine brass or something like that. The key part is it would accept .224 bullets. which meant you could run the 62grain steel penetrator bullet in it which is a no no in a pistol configeration i believe. If this puppy accepts .224 diameter bullets i am sure somebody's mind is working. and that would also be an interesting contrast to the ammo you are suppose to use in that little 5.7mouse gun. Tom, you don't really need this for jackalope, you already have the contender in 45/70
