I talked to PTG today, my Mashburn reamer is on the way cool

I'm afraid it's going to get ugly now!

Once you get used to it,you might wonder why you didn't do it before.....that thought has crossed my mind a few times.

It's just fun.

If you don't mind me asking, what does one have to pay for a PTG reamer?

My McMillian EDGE should arrive this week then all my goodies go to the 'smith.

I think the PT&G reamers are in the neighborhood of $125-135?

I've had my components since last year. Haven't got all the money together yet. Moma's been pinching me hard.Retirement is cramping my style. May have to sell the 358 or 338-06 to settle the score. Can't wait to get mine done. Have the scope, mounts, and stock...everything. powdr

Great platform for experimenting.

They have several different styles so prices vary quite a bit depending on exactly what you want. A removable pilot, high speed steel one for a belted Wildcat is typically $166.00. I got on the website to order one of these and decided to check out the "specials", there, in box one, was the exact reamer I was going to order for $88.00, I nearly dislocated my shoulder grabbing for the phone!

To show how stupid-simple this cartridge is, my pal took a Rem 700 KS Mountain rifle, punched the factory tube to Mashburn, and shot with Dobers FF load (65-IMR4350-139 Hornady),in the middle of a N'Oreaster here yesterday....kinda wet and windy.

I can't post the pic but three shots are in one hole. One group doesn't prove much but OTOH I doubt it was an accident either.

What is this 'Mashburn' you speak of....?

Now that I'm no longer in the gun biz, I'm not privy to this info....
