The lesson to be learned is to NEVER ship an item until you're sure the funds are in your hands and have cleared the bank. I have shipped items without being paid first but only with those who have multiple posts and a good record on whatever site they post on.
I once had a guy mail me about $150 in cash. Though I was flattered, if the money had been stolen in the mail, the situation would have been very awkward.

The weird thing is I have a 50 Caliber Contender barrel in my safe that is exactly as advertised (actually better) by these folks. Wonder if they send good stuff out once in a while to attempt top keep up appearances.
Maybe I should check and see if it is made of Bondo or something weird.

Seems like there was some low-life like that operating out of Gaffney, SC a while back. Gaffney is not all that far from Bessemer City, NC. May be the same sombidge.
