I have never seen a lever action quite like that, what is the make and caliber?

I have never seen a lever action quite like that, what is the make and caliber? Barkoff, it is a Wild West Guns Marlin Co-Pilot in 457 magnum. The 457 magnum is about a .10 longer than a 45-70. Power difference between it and a 45-70 is negligible. 1800 fps with a Alaska Bullet Works 405 grain bonded bullet is more than enough for plains game. http://wildwestguns.com/copilot.html
I hunt, not to kill, but in order not to have played golf....

Then there is Wayne Bartlett who got his 100th leopard in September last year. Here it is. Shot by my friend - on his first safari - with a PH who is a nice guy and real 'cat man'.

My first African animal taken in Northwest Namibia 2005. So good to see a trophy pic without the usual detached machismo. I especially like the respectful, almost spiritual context of this pic. Very well done. Von Gruff.

Heres another one for you....hardly a "hero" shot, smaller and not as pretty leopard as the one posted above...and alot more shot up...After 21 hours on the track of this wounded leopard we are just two tired, very tired, hunters...happy to have no scratches.... The Ingwe that gave me it's name...

Thanks Randy...Heres another one of my faves... Here is my favourite hero photo. It smelled like fresh harvested wild honey. 500 + yards and I laid down for a rest by the time we got to it.

I still say that is the best buffalo mount I have ever seen. I whole heartedly agree. Best I've ever seen. Who was the taxidermist?
