Just got back from South Central Montana and spent a day in the Praire dog fields. I had loaded up some 40 gr. Nosler Varmageddon bullets for the trip. Boy, was I impressed. Accuracy with these little bullets is really good out farther than I can take advantage of, and I now know what "lift" is. I have seen the "red mist" on previous hunts and occasionally a good sized portion go airborne when using 50 gr. BTs. at about 3200 fps; but my Ruger Mk II gets over 3600 with these little 40 grain'ers. I have never seen as many flying PDs on a shoot before. I highly recommend them, at least in .223.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

I was impressed with them too. They're now my favorite PD bullet for the 223.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

They shoot real nice over 27 grs. of Xterminator in my RRA..
Hope to blow some ground squirrels up with them in a couple weeks..
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Yeah kill the females while the pups are still nursing. That way you can have the glory of starving them to death. Satan has a special spot for "sportsmen" like you.

Tipped for me. They really shoot well in my 700 and Montana....actually a little better than the 40 NBT.

I shot the tipped version. They shoot and performed so well I don't feel a need to even try the HP version.
