Haven't ran a 6mm in years and back when I did it was a 6mm Rem with 80-100 PPs or CLs mostly. I have no doubts either of these will get the job done with ease(mostly whitetails), just curious what the 6mm guys prefer. 85 NPT: 95NBT: Might just flip a coin and zero at 250 with the winner. Looking fwd to filling a few doe tags with the new rig. Prob take it along to TX for a buck and maybe alittle swine. Thanks, loder

Nice shooting and nice rifle. You be the judge as either will work and you know it...... . I need to get my loads running that good in my 6mm rem....don't have the time lately though
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I love the 6mm Rem BSA, been wanting to get one again for years. When Paul decided to cut loose this one, I figured it would be a good way to revisit the cal. Dang thing sure wants to shoot. The light recoil is nice as well. I shot about 32 rnds through Magnums today as well and the little 06 sure was a treat during bbl cooling.

85 Partition for purely panache based reasons. But either would kick butt... grin

True, you gota love it when a NPT is one of your accuracy loads as well.
I sort of feel at these MVs the little NPT would have a heck of an entrance channel, yet leave small exits(as long as they leak, I'm cool with that).
Not so sure the 95 NBT would uncork the drain plug, which is why I've asked.

Nice rig and nice shooting! I sure miss that free public range. No advice on the bullets though. I am sure they will both lay the smack down on some deer and pigs.

Nice looking rifle and very nice shooting. I'd happily hunt with either of those bullets. You sir, are in a win, win situation.
Good luck this fall, CT

I'd wanna see if I could crank out an 80gr TTSX at 3700+
Thinking that would knock the wet off one.

Thinking that would knock the wet off one. It doesn't like 85 TSXs, but I definitely oughta give the 80s a run. 3700 has a nice ring to it.

Shot several deer with the 90 NBT out of a 6/284 that were right at 3500.... never found a bullet, they're still in low earth orbit for all I know. All recipients bounced....
Either way, I think the critters will be mighty unhappy.....
Nice looking rig by the way.

Nice shooting. Very impressive!
At those speeds I would go with the NPT or try the TTSX.

I like the 100 NPT for anything 6mm on game animals. Your '06 case still has plenty of punch with the heavies. I have destroyed lesser bullets (cup and core) with a .243. jack

...At those speeds I would go with the NPT or try the TTSX. I agree, NPT or TTSX. My .243 Win likes the 85TSX seated .060" off the lands FWIW. Seating them deeper cut groups in half for me. I guess if I had the NPT shooting that good, I might not argue with sucess unless you really want to shoot Barnes.

Looks like you have both a practice load and a hunting load figured out.

What a nice dilemma to have. Either one ought to ventilate a deer just fine.

Send Dogzapper a PM re: the 95 NBT. I'm thinking he'll give you hundreds of reasons that bullet will work fine...
