Here's something a little different that I did just for fun. white paper Micarta with Red Liners. This one is razor sharp and has a needle point. I've included a picture in hand for some perspective on size ala Vince's photos. Let me know what ya think.

OAL 9"
Blade 4 1/2" with Swedges
Steel CPM 154 Stainless
Scales: White Paper Micarta with Red Liners

I think carrying that in your boot would give you some confidence. I too would like to see the swedge sharpened. Black Micarta, no liners would suit me just fine. laugh

About the cards. Anyone ever wonder about the card turned down?

I have read a little about it and no one seems to know.

Some say it wasn't even aces it was jacks and the fifth card was a five or a queen of hearts?? Allot of different versions.

Wanna know what I turned down? smile

I've read several different stories, but have heard Queen is the most consistent theory.

Dale the swedge work looks great.

Just so people know-Dale sent me a knife to Rc so he would know if his heat treat is on. Two testers checked it @ 60Rc on the money.

This is my boot knife. Its an older Imperial made in USA.

Dead Man's Hand was what Wild Bill Hickock was holding when he was murdered by Jack McCall in Deadwood, South Dakota.
