I need your help guys. I have a new Savage 10 Precision Carbine in 308. I have purchased a Dead Mule for it. I need some ideas on how to install it in the hollow plastic stock. I understand that I need to secure it so it does not move, now I need some direction on how to accomplish that.

Only ones I've seen fit into a hole in the stock. Often the bolt hole for attaching the stock via through bolt. I have added weight to hollow plastic stocks using epoxy and lead shot. Would it be possible to mold in a tunnel? Issue would be getting a good bond with the plastic.
Just my 2 cents.

I don't have the answer but auto body filler is heavy, heavier than wood. Maybe drill a hole in a block of wood, cut away all that's not structurally necessary, and epoxy in? Think scope rings on a one piece base.

I don't know what a dead mule is but I have installed several Mercury recoil reducers in composite stocks by using a piece of 3/4 inch plastic pipe and expanding foam

Thanks for filling the holes in my swiss cheese memory it was expanding foam and lead shot I used. Sure would be a heck of alot lighter than epoxy.
Just my 2 cents.

Absolutely, expanding spray foam insulation and a piece of PVC to house it.
