I 'know' this will start a $hitt-storm, but what better way to fan the 'ole BPCR campfire?
...Ready....
I DO NOT PERSONALLY CARE FOR SHARPS RIFLES!

My God Ho what in the world could be wrong with you? Do you mean you actually have an independant opinion on which rifle type "you" like or dislike? The BPCR Gods must be hanging there heads in shame. Just imagine the blasphemy of such a thought!

Protected people will never be able to understand the intensity life "can" be lived at. To do that you must complettly and totally understand the meaning of the word "DUCK"

All right Jo!
I don't particularly care for Sharps type either. Rolling Blocks are my favorite followed closely, maybe tied, by Trapdoors then comes the Highwalls. I do have a Shiloh Sharps but only because everybody else had one. No place in my black heart for a Ballard.

I shoot a rolling block also and my next will be a hiwall and I do have a sharps and do not shoot it as my nephew has it in Calif and I am afraid I will never see it again.. Jim

My mentor, whom I have bought all of my Ballards from, tried to sell me the single Sharps from his HUGE collection of BPCR's. (BTW; I am a Winchester, and Ballard person... never had the fortune to 'glom' onto a Borchardt or Herpburn)
Anyways, he said the Sharps would make a fine canoe paddle, but cautioned that you have to be careful not to drop it as it will not float!

Trigger Doc: Don't pick on those folks, as they simply have a disability. I suggest we not waste resources on having them cured, because their entry into the cohort would simply increase demand and drive up prices. Best leave them be. 1Minute

Imagine the tales Jim Bridger could have concocted if his mind had the catalyst of Old Reliable to ponder. Still, I liked the glass mountain story, even if there was only flinters and such at the time.
Have also heard it said that Sharps made the west safe for Winchester. Custer might disagree.

Jeez... I thought there were 'Grizzled Old Guys' here that I could 'fun' around with...
Tell you what, 'you' Sharps fellers can poke fun at my '85 Winchester, or my Ballard... or for that matter BOTH if you care to and I will GUARANTEE a chuckle in return (how's that for a deal?)

Hmmm, 'tweren't pokin' fun at nobody in particular...tell you what though, I kilt a hog last spring with a Sux .22 pump gun using CB shorts. Small piggy got spined at about 40 yards, then dead with one behind the ear.
Did I have enough gun?
Do ya think the neighbors would think me dangerous if I'd used a Sharps?
