Never underestimate the vindictiveness/naivitie/stupidity of teenagers.

Young Joe Blowed there hooks up with teacher, then brags to his buddies, puts in on facebook etc etc and teaching for that woman becomes impossible in that school.

Fred Teacher, somewhere under 45 years old, or even older, wants to hook up with 17 and ups (or whatever the age of consent is in his state). The kids in his class just thing he's the coolest; he's funny, understanding, and drives a cool car/motorcycle. Ol' Fred could nail at least one or two every year, where's the harm? some here say.

Suppose Fred or Mary Teacher is homosexual, same thing applies.

What if it was YOUR kid?

It aint hard to impress teenagers, especially once they trust and respect you. It would be pretty easy to take advantage of some. That is a trust that should never be violated.

All that being said, teachers do sometimes date/marry former students... it aint uncommon... ....and all that can wait until AFTER they graduate.
