Nah, I'm ok with the shine on these! I'll post some pics I took of a CO fire through them here soon, pretty insane!

Realized I had a few rifles I had never shot rock chucks with, so I went rock chuck hunting on my birthday.

Its wearing it's Anschutz-ish bolt handle in these pics. It still gets to wear it's regular bolt in other settings.

This old Stevens Westfield #948 20 gauge used to be a "barn" gun. When it is not posing for pictures it hangs above the door inside the cabin. My son calls it "the meet and greet gun".

Well, well, NOW I'm disappointed.

My grandpa had one of THOSE. I shot it and killed snakes with it. At the time I was a young teen and DID NOT know what it was.

I have NO idea which relative wound up with it.

I'm now on a scavenger hunt.

Allow me a little leeway on the dates. It was about between '60-'65. Being born in '49, I was between 11 &16 or so. It was not illegal to shoot snakes in those days (even from BRIDGES).

All I knew, it was Grandpa's 22. and it was an older gun, wear, dings, etc. so pre 64 IS correct.
