Odd, I'm getting PM's here in Custom Rifles rather than the Classifieds. I've decided I'd like a .473 bolt face for anyone wanting to cut one loose. I'd also like to find a 300 Savage Model 700 barrel. I remember from a couple of years ago some gun shop out of Georgia was selling a score of Model 700 250 and 300 Savage barrels for $15 each.

Is that the new Mickey Edge KS? If so, what's it weigh exactly? Is it the "equal" of the old Brown?

Indeed it is. I'm sorry but I do not have a scale, but it's as light as a feather. I was told it's 18oz. I currently have 2 Remington Custom Shop KS rifles. One is an AWR (Black) and it's heavy compared to this stock. The other is a custom shop KS rifle that I'm pretty sure is a Brown Precision. This new one and the Brown feel identical.



The new stock has an ADL mag well for what I anticipate being a very light rifle. I'm thinking 6mm or 300 Savage.

That sounds about right. Probably the AWR is "standard fill" while the Brown and the Edge are made of lightweight construction.

I'd love to see the pics of the ADL version when it is all done up.

Let me know when you want to sell one!

I still need an action to get this build going. Got a 300 Savage barrel, so I guess that's what it's going to be.

I have a Remington M700 barrel in .300 Savage that came out of a Classic model rifle if you are still interested.

I found a NIB 300 Savage barrel at a ridiculously cheap price. I also landed a Model 7 action which I'm waiting on to arrive. Perhaps someone else here may want your barrel.
