My 'Great Grandfather' and bros and community 'helper's' built this barn in 1900. Originally, it had a lower loft,hallway, and 4 small feed/milk rooms. I kept the doors. @ 2000 I tore off, with the help of 1 friend, the lower part of the barn.....AGE, sun,& wind had been eating on it for 100 yrs. That tin has been on the barn since the 50s,*as far as I know, that was put on it in 1900. Can't prove it, but none of my aunts or uncles remembers the tin being replaced. However this appearance is how it was originally built and then the lower part was added in the 30s. My ancestors homesteaded a whole Section in 1880.
