Dennis asked me to build him a knife for choppin' the heads off catfish. Wanted something with enough length to really work on one, but still be able to clean him up afterwards. Here's what we came up with. It has a little extra heft at the end of the blade to give a little more leverage. CPM 154 SS Blade with Swedges and Green Canvas Micarta with Red Liners. Been working on a new "Utility" as ground finish. Still has a little sheen to it, but won't show scratches as bad as a polished blade. My hand stitched leather sheath. (I think it took half a cow) Took a long time to get this one ground, but really like the end result. Let me know what ya think...

OAL 13"
Blade 8 1/8" CPM 154 SS w/ swedges
Green Micarta w/ Red Liners
Hand Stitched Leather sheath

This one and one of Rick's catfish fillets would be about everything you'd need to work over a pretty good mess o' fish. Guessin' Dennis will be givin' it some serious testing on choppin' catfish heads as much as he likes to fish.
