Dennis asked me to build him a knife for choppin' the heads off catfish. Wanted something with enough length to really work on one, but still be able to clean him up afterwards. Here's what we came up with. It has a little extra heft at the end of the blade to give a little more leverage. CPM 154 SS Blade with Swedges and Green Canvas Micarta with Red Liners. Been working on a new "Utility" as ground finish. Still has a little sheen to it, but won't show scratches as bad as a polished blade. My hand stitched leather sheath. (I think it took half a cow) Took a long time to get this one ground, but really like the end result. Let me know what ya think...
