It went fast. Masked it off in 10-15 minutes... hung it in the shop and piled on the green base coat... let that dry a while then just had fun with oak leaves, cedar fronds, and 3 cans of paint. The way it layered out wasn't something I could really foresee, but once I saw that it looked pretty cool, I kinda went nuts!

Then I clearcoated the crap out of it. I maybe went a bit overboard there, it makes it a bit shinier than the ultra-flat paint. But, my last paint job on this rifle wasn't clearcoated:

and it rubbed off too easily...

needs blue tape for the full frontal gay look. wink

the full camo rifle thing is kind of skeery to me.....remembers me of the time I lost an 11-87 SP turkey hunting. laid it down by a cypress tree in the Atchafalya swamp, went out to place my decoys, came back and couldn't find the right tree again in the dark.

Having watched "Deliverance" in my formative years, my gun would never leave my hands in them southern swamps... so that wouldn't be a problem for me.

I saw that one too, and as I recall the good guys had archery gear and the "squeal-lik-a-pig" boys were the ones with firearms......

That's true. A tactical error for sure. When in the woods with inbred butt-rapin' hillbillies..... ALWAYS carry enough gun! grin

Yep,100%. Plus you made it bi-polar, schizophrenic, hetero-phobic, a damn democrat tool, a shrink's delight and left it searching for a Fiesta for transport. What'd it do to pizz you off like that?

If you can't get past the "gay" look I'll take her off your hands( I'm not a homophob). LOL.

Seriously, for the thick Oregon timber I think it looks nice.

Nice looking paint, nothing wrong(or gay) with the old 270 WCF, my go to gun anyway.

Marginal. You better put a big leather sling on it to be on the safe side.

Or you could just write "The Oregon Manlicker" on the stock, strap it into a kifaru gunbearer, and remove all doubt.
