Just put one on lay away. Has a spot shot litschl scope on it. Anyone own one of these rifles and or scopes. Anxious to see what others think of the rifle. What type accuracy you get. It is a nice little gun. Scope a little odd looking though. Very skinny tube...

You might want to check out the bore AND the chamber very well. They are all one piece. If the chamber has any evidence of pitting, you may want to rethink the lay-away. If the chamber has any pitting, the brass from a fired case "could" expand into the pitting and make extraction difficult.

nontipical, don't have a 23D exactly and don't have that scope.

But I did recently pick up a Savage model 19H, which has the same action and I think the same barrel as the 23D. It was amazingly accurate and shot very well. My clip has an issue, but the gun is very impressive. You'll probably be very happy with your grab.
