With new Nosler 6.5 Accubond being a 130gr, what velocities could you expect from the 264WM ?

I suspect you could nip 3400 with a 26" tube and the appropriate powder. I can get 3300 with a 140 and R25.

I shot some test loads over the crony yesterday with a model 70 I picked awile back, 125gr. partitions over imr-4350.
The bolt got alittle sticky at 63gr. and 3300fps. Next I'm going to try a slower powder that fills the case more.

Safely? +/- 3150.. Depends on barrel length, powder etc.., obviously.

Also, pay attention to the fact that the .264 has a short throat. Make certain you do not set the bullets too far out or they may very well be jammed slightly into the rifling which can give you a NASTY pressure spike..

Go slow, take your time, don't push it..

Well, that just made my day. I am getting 3430 with 125 gr Partitions, so I would expect somewhere near the 3400 range

Bummer, a 130g of all things. Sure hoped for a lighter bullet that would work well from 260 Rem and 6.5x55 in a short action. I'll bet the 130g is fairly long.......and at the velocity these two cartridges can push a 130g bullet, why do you need a bonded bullet?

I was hoping for a lighter bullet as well. Something in the 110-120g range would have made me really happy!
