Its another "FAIL"for the system.If the mother knew something like this could happen others did also. I'm not trying to be callous to the tragedy that has just happened. God knows if it was someone I knew I'd be outraged but part of the price of living in a free society is that we are subject to this type of activity happening.
Is it preventable? absolutely, but not when we live in a society that is intent on putting the George Zimmerman's of our country in jail.

OK Facebook guy is not the guy...the dude just moved from San Diego to get his PHD? Thanks for the update! Something about the facebook link just didn't pass the smell test for me.  Earlier this morning, Fox news mentioned that the suspect was a white male. Definitely NOT the guy in the Facebook link.

I don't know the level of what she knew but just believing someone is capable of doing something like this, in a free society, means there isn't much that can be done. Its the slippery slope argument the NRA defines in their argument that the mentally ill should be able to own a gun. Now if it comes out he has a violent past or made threats, then some hard questions needs to be answered.

Media says the shooting went on for 10 or 15 minutes. How does that happen when there are police officers on the scene for crowd control????????

Looks like an escaped Occupier.
I highly doubt that this went on for 15 or more minutes but then I've been wrong too many times to count.
Too bad someone wasn't armed and had the mindset to end this in the first few seconds. It would have saved many lives and suffering.

At one time a medical student.Left med.school. I can't wait until my liberal uncle brings up the need for more gun control. I will point out the obvious that we need to ban medical schools instead. Cuz doctors kill more people than guns in the United States.
