Just want to thank everyone for not taking an interest in my probably-over-priced Ruger No. 1 Boddington series Lion. I had put it up for sale in a fury of infatuation over a 270 Accumark. I went to buy it yesterday (and worry about the financial consequences later) and found that the condition of the rifle had been misrepresented. I walked out, drove home, and hugged my Lion. Had I sold my rifle before seeing that Accumark, I'd still be crying and kicking myself in the ass. To other folks I might ask them for an intervention the next time I was about to sell one I shouldn't, but for this crew...well, isn't that how most of us score the nice ones? Happy hunting!
...on earth as it is in Texas.

I've sold plenty and not regretted it, which is why I'm at risk of doing something stupid for the whim of the day.

Your welcome! I have two rules for guns: 1. The gun I'm buying must be made in the USA. 2. Never again will I sell a gun, I did that once and regret it to this day. Glad things worked out for ya.

Unless I have some specific memories tied to a gun, they are just another "thing" I have purchased, and can be sold/traded at will.

The guns I inherited or received as gifts will never go but guns I purchased are fair game.

sounds like a Dr Phil moment. Thanks for reminding us not to act quickly. I do more stupid things spur of the moment. I try to sleep on a decision like that.

Glad that worked out for you. I too have had many regrets over guns that I sold. I have tried to figure out how to avoid the kind of mind set one has to be in to sell a favorite gun.

As my aunt told me when I was little a little bird was watching out for you. I'm 55 now and I still have a little bird watching out for me.

Is it wrong to sell a gun in order to buy another safe so I can buy more guns?
