Whenever I am away I put the out of office note on otherwise work related e-mails expect me to reply in a timely fashion. Today is my first day of vacation which lasts until 1/3. Still loosing a week. Plannning on doing hunting, shooting, reloading and collecting. Maybe a new 99. Not sure of the order of events yet.
Sent you a couple of other e-mails you may have not yet seen.

Jed,
Is that rifle still at auction? I just checked GB and don't find it.

Here it is...... web page Got an education on how NOT to list a 99-F...it's listed as 99F...and it won't show in my savage 99 search...Live and learn...by the time I noticed...there was a bid on the rifle,,,and I was unable to relist it as a savage 99 F

The search arguments are taken very literally. Put a * after the 99 and it will find all of the variations. Likewise, do 189* and you'll find the 95s.

Thanks Jed. I just learned something too.
Usually I just plug in Savage 99 into the search on either AA or GB. I always assumed that would show me everything. On this particular auction on GB, it doesn't show up unless the "F" is attached in the search. The seller probably isn't getting the looks that this rifle deserves. Steve99

Kind of makes you think something is up with this deal! Snow in Mariana, FL? I checked the weather and it was sunny and warm down there with no snow in the forecast. It does look like this gun is located in the New England area somewhere me thinks!!!!

You've never seen snow in Florida? Wow, I am shocked, this seller has a clean record, I have done business with him and I reccomend him and his buddy highly. Les
Back in the heartland, Thank God!

What happened? It was at a 1000$ last night, now auction is over and reserve not met.

Just ran through the Omaha Scheels and saw they pulled their F in 300 Sav. out of the fine gun room and threw it on the used rack. Priced at $895 though, with slings and small chips out of the stock (serial number something like 5280xx?). And it ain't in any kind of condition compared to this one which only got a bid of $850...
