But I'll take this hit, since it helps our troops out.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

I'm still pissed about open queerness in the Marines!

The price includes spare parts and "support". In government contracts that "support" can cover an awful lot of ground.
As for the taxpayers paying ,"once again", we are always paying for new or replacement stuff for the military. We might as well pay for good stuff when we can.
This contract costs only a fraction of what one aircraft costs, to better equip 12,000 Marines.
It sure beats having the government pay $600 for toilet seats, etc.

I'm still pissed about open queerness in the Marines! Yeah. And some years ago, the Queer Rodeo Cowboy's Assn. got started. That just about blew me out of the saddle!

22.5 million dollars divided by 12,000 pistols = $1,875 per pistol. Looks like another 'bargain' for the American Taxpayer! I love the Government Model .45 and I'm glad they're going back to them...but damn!

I love the Government Model .45 and I'm glad they're going back to them...but damn! That does seem excessive. A basic model would have served as well. I guess corporations see the US tax payer as a huge sucker.

Remember our budgets are available via FOIA. You put down 600 dollars for a toilet seat, spend 7 bucks on the seat and 593 dollars goes to "skunk works" and no one knows what that is actually.

That could add a whole new meaning to "bare back riding division " A properly built 1911 is a hell of a weapon, and a bigger hole is almost always better
