Nice work Benchman! Sounds like quite a "gun show".....
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

Usually, you get about 10 pounds per rep, so about 315 or so. Pretty impressive bench! Sure wish I had done this stuff when I still had some testosterone kicking around.... There is a formula that I believe is pretty accurate. 3% X lift weight X number of reps added to your lift weight. So for example (200 X.03 X 10) + 200 = 260? I was in the low 300's at 185 body weight once upon a time. I am in awe of your bench number at 57, or any age, and being injury free as well. Congrats!

Closer to 1/4, but who's counting? Benchman, that's an amazing feat. Congrats to you.

Congratulations.
Is that raw or shirted. If it's raw do they allow wraps?
How did you do in the squat ,deadlift and total?
I see you already answered that question about the bench shirt.

I'm a bench specialist, so no other numbers... Have a bad back, and a bum hip. I imagine I could total around 1400 geared, based on my training numbers. I'm a fair squatter, around 400 or so with just knee wraps, and gear would add considerably to that. The limiting factor is the bad hip. I'm a lousy deadlifter, around 400 too. I have a lot more in the tank, but just can't lean on my back that hard. It's not a question of IF the back will be damaged, it's WHEN it will.

That's still darn good.My uncle is 62 and I watched him squat 425 lbs at a body weight of 190,he however is no powerlifter. His friend Jay Katzman has asked my uncle to enter powerlifting contests because he said my uncle could win in his age group.
Jay apparently is a record holder for his age group.

Awesome!!! NEVER underestimate an old guy! There are a lot of strong guys running around, they just need a little push now and again to get started. It is really a very user friendly sport. Everybody helps each other out, and there is a lot of comeraderie. They go for the jugular when lifting - not at each other. He oughtta go for it!

Congratulations! Very impressive lift and always love to see a guy my age doing something impressive. At one time I did a lot of lifting but never attained anything to remark about. I do know that competition benching is a whole different deal than what most people do informally in the gym. I've seen lots of guys brag about what they can bench and after watching them, many times my question has been, "but how much can you do without bouncing it off your chest?"

My back don't hurt when I let Johnnie do the lifting! (Johnnie Deere, that is) You guys with good backs keep playing, as long as you can! BTW, I'm not a wimp, I hurt my back once, by picking up a brick-lined wood stove! BTDT Be careful! Mark
