Ruger #1V .223
Won the used rifle at Auction arms for $499 on 4/29/2007

Who in their right mind would sell this rifle?

I've owned a few but my 45/70 is the one that is still here. I really like the caliber and love the gun.

I'd have the one I do have - a good shooting #1A in 30-06. Lots of others I like but this will do quite nicely.

The 6.5X55 would be sweet indeed.

I don't have a #1 as yet... but the 6.5 Swede would be on the top of my list.

A .270 but only in a 1-AH. Sure wish they made that option...

Tho i really cherish the #1's i have already.....since 1967 i have always desired a factory 284 Win No.1......back then a B model (all mine are B's) but now a Medium Sporter in 284 would be satisfying.
Within an red eyelash would be a 358 Win in RSI configuration.

Both blued and wood.
