I've had good results with sphericals in short action cases like the .358 Win, and like the way they meter. I was wondering if anyone uses them in loads for the .25-06 especially with heavier hunting bullets (110-120grs). So far it seems like Ramshot Magnum, Winchester 780, Alliant 4000MR and Accurate MagPro might all fit the bill. Does anyone have any other suggestions or results?

I still have a large stash of Hodgdon's discontinued H-450. I consider it a ball version of H-4831, as the loads, velocities, and applications are almost identical. Just use H-4831 starting loads and work up. I see H-450 at gun shows from time to time.
I was hoarding when hoarding wasn't cool.

dragoon,
Ramshot Magnum and a 115-120 works very well in the .25-06, or at least it has in three of mine. Usually around 60 grains shoots well, with top velocities.

I'm trying to get my brother to try Supreme 780 in his 25-06, but he only shoots lightweight bullets (varmints), so it's not exactly a good fit. He shoots 760 through his, and landed 5 in a row into ~18" at 1,000 yds the other day with Speer's TNTs over 760. Had to hold-over a little. It was a randomly-chosen load, too; never had worked with that bullet weight in the 25-06.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I wish I could find H450, but it's about as rare a rocking horse turds here. Magpro is not currently available in Canada, so it looks like it will be Ramshot Magnum. I looked over the data for Win 760 on the Hodgdon site, and it's not far behind any of the other sphericals listed, and does it with a lighter charge so I may give it a try too.

In my experience Magnum is a little better suited to heavier bullets than Magpro, though both work well. Magnum is slightly slower-burning, maximum loads with 115-120's topping out at around 59-60 grains, while Magpro tops out at 56-57. Magnum is also more cold-resistant than Magpro, which might be helpful where you're hunting.

Probably be shooting one or the other later this fall in a 25/06 and .270 Weatherby.

I have use standard and magnum primers with Magnum in my 25-06 AI. Standard seem to be a bit more accurate on average.

shootem,
While very often ball powders do better with a magnum primer, a lot of the time they don't. Both of my present .25-06's shoot very well with Magnum and 115 Bergers using the Federal 210M primers.
