RickyD,
Holler at Bushmaster and drop the cash for thier video.
Short of Formal training or having a 'Smith wak ya through the process, it's probably the best place to see before doing.
As a reference, the TM 9-1005-319-23&P is a must have.
Go slow, sneak up on things and don't get heavy handed the first time.
As for the price of the Stripped CMT lowers.
Ya didn't get shanked! :
My shop can sell complete LMT lowers for $327.00 plus shipping and tax.
CMT lowers can be had for under a C-Note.
The first one is always a learning experience.
Holler if ya hit a speedbump on the way. Be glad to help if I can.
Hang in there!

E4E,
Thanks for the tips and offer. I believe I will pick up that video. The first one went pretty good.........it works anyway..............but the DVD I used for reference was ify at best.
I'll let you know how I come out but may not get at it for a couple of weeks until the other parts get here and I have a free couple of hours..........Lord that's a sad statement!
Thanks Again!!
Rick

ar15.com has a great place AND they have a thread that gives detailed instruction with PICS on how to assemble a lower and parts kit.
It's what I used and I was very greatful!

Can you do a link for the assembly pics?

I looked around at parts planning to build one rifle for Prarie dogs and coyotes. Looked and looked finaly decided on getting two lowers build one for yotes and one for PD's. Well after looking more and researching the options i am still building two rifles niether in 5.56/.223. One for varments is going to be born in 243WSSM. The other for everything else is going to be in 458 Socom. If I ever get the urge again to build a blck rifle (I am already) I am just going to shoot myself in the foot, less pain and most likely cost less.
