Has anyone used this combo on elk and/or moose? What was your experience? What powders did well for you?

I've been thinking of trying some in my 300. Should be a fun bullet. I think they would very well if it wasn't for the wind.

Want To Buy;
Form die for a 7mm Mashburn Super.
.284 Hornady AMax 162gr.
.224 Hornady AMax 75gr.

Bushing die that will work with the 7mm Mashburn Super
A couple Glock 42 380ACP mags

WHY have a 300 WSM then, might as well went with 270WSM. Personally 300WM or WSm with 165-180 bullets would be the better choice. To each their own.

Well I know those work, I've used them a lot. Besides, what I asked was if the 130s have worked decent for anyone. As you can see by my post, I didn't buy a 270 WSM because I like to use a much larger variety of bullet weights than it offers, hence me asking about 130gr TTSXs. Besides, I just spoke to a Barnes tech today and he said it would be fine to use inside 350yds, because even at 50yds with impact velocity around 3400fps, the petals may break off, but in their testing, they tend to break off after penetrating 8-10 inches, then the petals become secondary projectiles and that mixed with the force of the impact will create a quite lethal wound. He also said there have been hunters cleanly taking elk and moose with them and the .277 130gr TTSX. So, if anyone has first hand experience with the .308 130gr TTSX out of the 300 WSM on elk and moose, please tell.

Have used the 130 gr TTSX in my 300 WSM for whitetails. Does a fantastic job. I think I'll stick with the 180 gr MRX for elk.
