The wanker from across the bloody pond has sold the team to some red neck jerkoff from Tennessee of all places. I suppose this means they will stop beer sales in favor of gravy which you southern people seem to put on every damn thing. No but seriously they did sell the team and now there talking about bringing in a whole new group of front office folks which I am sure will mean another 10 yrs of loosing seasons, yeaaaaaaa I cant wait to not go to the games!!!! Why does God hate Cleveland sports?

Believe me that was the first thing EVERYBODY in town thought. Turns out the Randy had a "no move clause" put in the contract. They also have to complete the lease agreement they signed for the new stadium that beer and cigarettes built.

I actually wish 'em success. One of the early (yeah, I know second-iteration) franchises.
How long has it been since the Browns have won a conference title (Tesataverde years?)

Congrats! Get rid of the Walrus. Holmgren was my Geometry teacher in H.S., prick.

I don't recall the year but I know it was the original team and not the team currently masquerading as the Browns.
The pat that really sucks is they were just starting to show some glimmer of improvement and now the new owner wants to fire Holmgren & Hekert in favor of his own guys which means his guys will want to pick their players which means ANOTHER rebuild.

Frankly I was surprised that Holmgren's guidance hadn't paid bigger dividends. He's cautious, plodding even, but just doesn't allow mistakes. I honestly expected the Browns to at least be competitive.

I hope you can keep Holmgren.
Jed York does not own the 49ers; Russell Wilson does.

I honestly expected the Browns to at least be competitive. I think Big Mike gets a bum wrap here, this team has been crippled by its past failures. Its taken FOREVER to recover from all the bad GM's and coaches. Guys like Davis, Savage, Romeo, that worthless GM that was here with "The Mangenious" what ever his name was. Learner could just never seem to get it right with these guys and now people think Big Mike can just wave a wand and fix 12 yrs of bad drafts in 2 yrs.

The game has changed of course, but Holmgren's like a dozer, slow, unwavering, and effective - took several years in Green Bay, and in Seattle, but he was also coaching those teams.
The coming days 'n' weeks will tell the story - GO BROWNS!

Did he give you a bad grade? No, he was an arrogant bastard. At this stage of his career I would not want to build a team underneath him or see him walk around in retro blue spandex shorts.

I'm hoping it's because his displeasure for Detroit's football team has expired.
4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.
