I have a Viper PST in MOA and love it. I find it very useful. What I don't understand is why we don't see more of this type thing. I'm not interested in Mil Dots or DOAs or other ranging reticles. I see and understand there value but think the MOA (or Mil) hash marks are more useful across the broad range of cartridges. You can buy these in higher line scopes but Id like to see them in Nikon and Bushnell 3200 & 4200 and Konus and others. even if they only subtended 10MOA in the redicle and the rest on turrets, it would be useful in the field and on targets.

Before the DOA Bushnell offered their Ballistic Reticle shown below--

[Linked Image]

It's a 3 MOA system all the way around [elevation and windage]. They replaced it with the DOA reticle--a big mistake IMO!

Only problem with the BR above is that they shoulda had dots or lines for each 1, 2, or 3 MOA windage mark horizontally too.

I think this was the cheapest MOA reticle around available in the 4-12x 3200.

I've looked into Holland. Not cheap and not available for Nikon or Bushnell. I'm guessing the scope companies will catch up soon. It will only take one to offer an affordable 1" or 30mm in the 6-18 range that has a simple grid in 1MOA hashmarks to change it all. DOA's will be doa. And ranging can done with easy math. And you could have it on a 223 in the spring and a 338 in the fall. Just seems like something that should easy to get made.

Check out those .2 MOA rangefinding units above. Finest subtension unit anyone puts in a riflescope. Like to play with that sometime.

The Sightron MOA reticle is nice, but I prefer the Vortex MOA reticle in the PST.

I checked into a MOA reticle for my S&B 4-16x50...just a mere $875.00!

Sheesh....I want to buy a r-e-t-i-c-l-e, not another SCOPE.

I might have agreed with that a couple of years ago, but for the way we live, $875.00 is far from a drop in the bucket. I could have the turrets changed out for $500.00, but I think in terms of MOA when shooting; I just can't seem to switch over to Mil/Mil. I need all the help I can get, and that means a MOA/MOA scope.

My PST is set up MOA/MOA and I really like it. There are enough options in the $900 and up price range. I would like to see the Mid Price scope come up with a usable MOA/MOA option in the $350-$500 price range. 2nd Focal would be fine too. I wonder if we ll see it in the next year or 2?

Falcon Menace offer a MOA reticule in some of their scopes at the same price as their Mildots..its also available in the FFP..I've not long bought a 4-16x44 FFP Mil/Mil for my .22LR, and up to now, I am liking it very much.

In the interests of honesty i would say the first one I bought developed a problem first time out in that tiny droplets of moisture could be seen on the reticule. When I contacted Falcon, they shipped a replacement scope to me so that it arrived the next day, and arranged for a courier to pick up the faulty one.

I've used the replacement a few times now, and so far no further problems. While I don't like the idea that the first unit went faulty, Falcon's response was truly excellent, especially considering this is a mid priced scope from a smaller company.

Not sure what price they retail for in the US, but I'd guess somewhere around $400.
