I have acquired a House Guest. A spirit, hank, ghost whatever you want to call him. He has identified himself as Jackson. Said he was from upriver. Weird as all get out. He stays up all night, making racket and moving things around. He will sit at the table and stare across the kitchen for hours at a time. Though I asked him to leave here, he hasn't. Said he has been dead for almost 20 years. I asked him how he died and he said he froze on the trail and can't find his way home.
Anyone else ever experience anything similar to this? I have the sisters coming out next week, before school starts and I am wanting to see what they think of this guest. He is not scary but I want him gone anyway.

She used to call it the merluch (I spelled it like it sounds) and she used to put little dishes of garlic and olive oil on all the windowsills. I never really understood that one and never found anyone who could explain it adequately to me. Same here. My grandmother put curses on everyone! We had garlic hanging off the back of the beds and all. We always promounced it "Merloik" but who knows. She owned a 2 family and lived upstairs. Every step had a small stone on it so the evil spirits could collect them and not come into the house. People from the "old" country were interesting if nothing else. She was Sicilian btw.

There is a spirit that lives in the woods of the north but I cannot remember what the natives call it. Folks just disappear from view and are never seen again. kwg
