After being neglected due to playing with toys to much I am finally making it back to working on my bronco which was put off for the CJ project https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthread...st_years_hunting_rig_CJ_buil#Post5421266

New work, Hung doors pulled body off so I can have easier access to
engine compartment and to do a 3 speed to Np435 conversion with twin
stick transfer case giving me a 70-1 first gear. Going to be working
fast and furious to be driving before Sept. Plan on burnt organge
metal flake with Black accents... Lockers front and rear 35inch tires
custom bumpers and interior and electronics.... Yeeeee Haaaaawww.

Oh and of course can't forget the Elk Rack on the front...

That's great.

I'm doubled up on projects myself.

I'm like 85% done with a 69 road runner, and I picked up a new hunting fishing toy for myself. A 77 F250 highboy 4x4.

I hear ya on the timeline, I want my hunting truck all finished up before fall too.

Well, we both know they are never really "finished" but... maybe "ready" is a better word.

grin

Keep up the good work!!

Just trying to get done after 3 years....
Got my springs tonight through them on. Wild Horse 2.5inch lift put my front at 32inches back at 32.5 inches works for me. Cherry picker made it easy as can be. The left spring is the stock the middle is the one I just installed the right are the ones I bought that were to big... OOpss Just money they are for sale if anyone needs them. From Jeffs Bronco Graveyard superlift 5.5 inch springs. list at $150 got them on ebay for $50.00

Put on the Edlebrock intake, carb, and air cleaner I scored last weekend.
painted valve covers changed valve cover gaskets.
took grill off to get good paint behind and on the grill.
The grill on early broncos tend to be very neglected because of being a pain to sand. I am going to strip it and start from scratch.

In the welding panels and 1/2 bed pics....the donor was bent up at the edges at the dog house. Did you cut them to fit or wrap the wheel housing over the donor and weld?

cut the donor with about an inch overlap in most spots and welded from the top donor to body and from the bottom body to donor and then seam sealed it, worked out pretty tight. I will keep em coming need to be done with it by last week in August. I have to go to Fort Riley KS for work for a few days... going to slow me down a little..

Not as much done as I wanted, Had visitors sunday and took some time for target practice saturday. Got the alternator and power steering cleaned and bolted back on removed the mechanical fan plan on eletric. got the body back on master cylinder clutch and throttle... took some modification with 2 inch body lift. Can really start getting everything bolted back together now while doing the final touches on the body work.

Slower going now.. I put the dash speedo and some switches in. The wiring was a mess. got most of it straightened out. The starter sounds like it is trying to turn over a mack truck. pulled the plugs and lubed it up and still no change. Turned over easy as can be by wrench so starter is dead getting a new one today.
