Anybody? Went thru Google and found 12 brazillion german websites, + rifle found a wad of them for sale, but no dialog...my sense of it is the Schutzen is more of a style than a specific type gun, this reinforced by the rifles for sale...one of the German sites even had pictures of what looks like handguns with the same ornate accutraments... flinters, percussion, and more modern guns seem to fit the bill... errrrg!

Very, HMMmmmm..........................Wierd, lookin 'rifles, by conventional standards...................
'Til you get one set up, all 12-14 lbs, in a light recoiling Caliber, on one of those big hooked buttplates, with the spade palmrest............

Than it all starts to make sense.......

Best offhand precision imaginable...................

Albeit , ..............VERY wierd lookin' to us 20th century kids.
