I am thinking of buying a new semi auto shotgun. I don't want to spend a lot on it as I only hunt upland game a few times a year, and shoot clay pigeons occasionally. I have been looking at a CZ 910 or a Weatherby SA08. They both look like nice shotguns. I have seen the CZ for around $500 and the Weatherby for around $600. What do you guys think?

I bought a CZ 720 and it was a great shotgun except for a heavy trigger. CZ will lighten it for free. My issue was the LOP on CZ's is 14.5" which is too long for me. I sold the CZ and bought an SA-08 b/c it has a shorter LOP. Maybe it was just luck but it also has an outstanding trigger. IMO the Weatherby is worth the extra money if it fits you, if the CZ fits you better then buy it. You cannot go wrong either way.

You certainly find a clean Remington 1100 or Remington 11/87 for $500.00.

Try the Stoeger m2000 in 12g. These are made in turkey and very similar to the weatherby semi-auto if not the same gun made in the same factory. I have the synthetic version. Sold the wood / blue to a buddy. Both work just fine. Use beretta/Benelli mobile chokes. Dicks had a few wood / blue for $400 or less on sale/clearance.
