Very cool car, cool project, and cool pics. But this is progressing waaayyy too slow for my tastes. I know, I am being impatient. Just keep the updates coming and I won't bitch. laugh

You could make a lot worse choices than that combo. I hope you can find a disc brake conversion you like. It will make the car better and more fun to drive.

Damn, that is in mighty good shape for a 50 year old car

the car spent all but the last 4 yrs of its life in arizona, so it has little rust, and none around the roof, windshields, floor pan and cowling.

Good call on the Hemi build. What transmission will she hook to the Dana with? I removed all of the no low band apply 727's we had after seeing some of them grenade from getting out of the throttle and back in it.

Caltracks should work well, surprised you aren't going 4 link lime an Alston.

i'm going to have the guys, can't think of the name right now, that build the transmissions for the souped up cummins diesels build me a 727.

i thought about going with a 4 link, but i'm trying to keep it simple. if i can't get it to hook up then i'll probably do it. i need to measure to see what size tire i can run without opening up the stock wheel wells.
