The news said that 15 people showed up for the auction but none were qualified to buy. They cancelled the auction.
I think, therefore I am, conservative.

I believe opening bid for the archives was $250k.
I think the asking price on the real estate was $1.5 MM
There was maybe 1 person pre-registered online but no one else showed up to register.

The archives would be a great fit for a small museum in Gettysburg. Lots more people would get to see it and Custer had a small but interesting role in that part of the Civil War.
