Anyone care to offer any opinions on the value?
I am itching for a Pre-64 Model 70 in .375 H&H.

I don't have a clue but I remember thinking I couldn't live without that rifle when I was a kid. Sweet.

If you sell it like I did years ago,you will regret it for the rest of your life.64's are extremely rare and model 70's are a dime a dozen comparitively. Ask your self what are you going to do with a 375h&h,are you going to africa or something? If you are,buy a modern firearm for way less money and go with it.You have a gun of a lifetime and you want to trade for something you will tire of quickly, they beat the devil out of you. Get a 300wsm in a savage or whatever and if it gets broken or beat up,you wont care.Your gun is worth. If the thing is perfect and in 219 it is worth over2200.00 minimum. If it has a 20 inch carbine barrel you can add about 700.00 according to the bluebook of gun value's. Dont do it. Dont do it.Dont trade it in or sell it.This gun will appreciate faster than gold.If you dont believe me,hire a honest guy to look it over and put a number on it. It is the rarest chambering period.Did I make my point.LOL

Thanks jonbearman. I hear you loud and clear, but I haven't seen too many inexpensive pre-64 Model 70s in .375 H&H lately, either. donsm70

As you see, this post was some months ago and I have since bought a pre-64 Win in 375 H&H. I still have the model 64, but I'm in no hurry to peddle it. I did respond to your PM, and we can talk. donsm70

Ohhhhh!! you make me quiver !! I know where one is that is unshot. Probably could have traded him for a 22-250 when I was young but didn't. Now I should see if he'll sell it. I have the front end of one on a 94 action, and a 64 model 32 special and am going to swap barrels someday. my guess is its is worth as much or more than what you paid for your 375
