I am noticing that my arrows are rattling when i put them into my quiver. Field points are tight, but it's the same type of sound. Is it possible for a carbon arrow to just wear out?

Are the inserts still glued tight? I flex mine periodically and listen to them closely. Also run a soft rag down them will show any areas that might have splintering starting. I've broken a few, but can't say I've ever " worn one out".

It's probably your quiver. If you leave your arrows in the quiver for extended periods the foam/rubber that grips the shaft will loosen up. They will rattle. Don't store your arrows in the quiver

Check the hood on your quiver, I've had a an Apex hood cover come loose (unglued) and rattle.
Check your nock end of the arrow, if you have hit something hard with the arrow, the nock end can split from the shock.
Most likely, you have a loose part on the quiver or the bow mount, carbon arrows usually only wear out by spliting or cracking, or by shooting into a hard surface/object.

The inserts were coming loose. I dropped an arrow, and it rattled. Took out the field point and dropped it again. Still rattled. Removed nock. Same story. Pulled out the insert with some pliers and no more rattling. I've put the arrows through a couple thousand shots, so I shouldn't be surprised. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Here's another rattle I just found - Beeman arrows in the higher end models (Hunter Elite) have a "Vibra-check" on the end of the metal insert that is supposed to dampen arrow vibration. The check is a rubber doinker on the back end of the insert, and about 1.5-2 inches long. These will also rattle in th shaft, and you cane hear them when you shoot, or quiver the arrows.

Late on this but my thought was exactly what you found out. A little dab of glue will do ya.
Keep your powder dry and stay frosty my friends.
