All three come in 300WSM all come in stainless, and 2 out of the three have a laminated wood stock, browning has a walnut stock. All have a nice smooth action, and there quality seem to be very good. Now which one am I going to be most satisfied with. I have narrowed my choices down to these 3.

Sako is the best out there, short of custom made. I have 2 and another on the way, used to have mostly remy's, but after getting the first sako, it was all over.

I have all three of those rifles. The remington I have is in 260, it's very accurate, the finish of the metal and wood is OK, marks easily. It feeds OK, sometimes rounds get stuck in the magazine and the bolt will close oon an empty chamber. The browing is in 300 WSM, it's a hunter FLD model, nice gun, fit and finish is good, the stock marks very easily, it's plenty accurate, I replaced the recoil pad with a limbsaver, I go back and forth on the clip system, mine won't close with three in the Magazine and the bolt closed. I have two Sako's, they are great rifles, superacurate, great feeling stocks, triggers are excellent, very nice looking rifles, neither of them has had anything done to them at all.
For my money, the Sako wins hands down and now that teh finnlight comes in 260 rem I just might end up with three rifles, my sako A1 223 blued laminated, a stainless laminated 300 WSM and a finnlight in 260.

I own 5 in a 243, 270, 280, 30-06 and a 300 whby.
love them all.The .270 is wearing a micky but that is the only alteration to any of them. All tack drivers I can shoot sub .75 groups with the 300. My vote SAKO

Neither of the other 2 touches the Sako, in my opinion. I have Sakos, a Browning and have had Rems. As much as I like my Browning it is not in the same class as the Sako . . . if you want to spend the extra money.

I have owned all of the above. Sako is far and away the best of the three. Sako 75's are guaranteed to have shot 5 shot 1" groups at 100yds. Every one that I've had has been extremely accurate. I work part time in a gunsmith shop that blueprints a good number of Remington 7/700's. By the time you spend what it takes to make them shoot right you could have bought a Sako and not gone through the trouble. I had a Browning A-Bolt that had the roughest bore I've ever seen on a factory rifle (out of several hundred). I don't care for some of the aspects of A-Bolt design (sleeved bolt etc.).
The only question about Sako's is to call in the serial number to make sure it wasn't among the very small number that was recalled. They did have a bad lot of materials that made a few guns blow up. There have been seveal posts with the serial # range etc. for you to double check....................DJ

The serial numbers are as follows and they are on the stainless barrels only 419140 to 461951. Sako has stated that more than 90% have been located.

Remington is good but Sako is much better , I have two Sako's one in a 22-250 which I have owned and shot since 1970 . It wears a Mcmillen and has a Shilen Bbl. in it now. I also have a Sako in 17 Rem. cal . it has a Pac-nor Bbl.in it and also wears a Mcmillen .Both Barrels are Stainless.
good luck with your choice.

Add me to the Sako fan club. Mine is an M995 TRG/S Magnum. It shoots better than I can. If you want a lightweight Sako, don't buy one like mine.

Sucks are okay, I suppose, though none of the 4 I've owned fit into the "Accurate rifle" category. I've had 2 classic Whelens, 1 classic 375, and the only one left is a 700 BDLSS 375. All shot groups larger than 2 inches at a hundred. It was flat impossible to load a Speer 250 anywhere near the rifling in either of the Whelens (unless you wanna try breech-seating them).

I just sold the last Browning - a B78 in 45-70 with BEAUTIFUL wood. It was nice - and heavy. Also had a Safari FN Mauser '06. It was an excellent rifle but heavy as well. I don't like heavy rifles. The Safari is not indicative of the current crop of Brownings, with which I have no experience, nor desire thereof.

The Sako is the only gun, scope, or scopemount in my safe that doesn't say "Made in USA." I take pride in that fact. If you don't understand that now, you never will.

Am I the only one that thinks the Sako 75 is too heavy for field use? I have only had one, that I ordered on the internet. It was a lefty .25-06 wood stock. I was all prepared to love it, being my first quarter bore, but I could not due to weight. I think the thing scoped was about 10lbs (don't remember the exact figure).

Have you looked at the Kimber rifles? I like them and they have features that the Sakos do not such as CRF, pillar bedding, a safety that holds the firing pin, the best composite factory stock and they are made in the USA.

I would not buy a Sako or Tikka gun these days. They scare me as it seems as if they have covered up the blow up situtation.

I have one Sako and if it were not for the fact that the smith who made it up was not a fine fellow I would move it on. I am sorry that I got that action as it's design is not up to the M70/Kimber/Mauser style.
