I always take some jerky, kettle korn, couple bananas and lots of gum. I'll usually drink water but will drink a big soda mid afternoon to keep me from getting drowsy if I'm gonna be driving into the night.

Someone above mentioned the fair traffic! I did lose some sanity with 45 mph motor homes in a convoy, jackasses that speed up in the passing zones, jackasses that won't pull over in passing zones, jackasses without driving lights in heavy fog, jackasses with lights off in heavy rain and vehicle spray, jackasses passing on double-yellow with the above. Other than that it was a nice trip. May, before tourist season was mo' betta'.
