Was it near the bait station you have going?

One of these days I'm going to get a bear permit. I have a few spots I'd call really good for bear, just don't have the time to bait as much as I would need to.

That's ice fishing in style Dave.

Made it back from MT, Friday night. Put on 3,400 miles. Son's house is a winner. We saw mulies and speed goats while sitting on the porch. DIL woke up at 3:00 AM to a mulie doe staring in their bedroom window.

Did a 1 day tour of Yellowstone and saw a few Elk. Buffalo were out in force. Saw one young one using a new Ford Explorer as a rubbing post. The owner was standing up through the sun roof taking pictures. Might come in handy for the claims adjuster.

Speking of claims, I'll be calling our insurance company to turn in a glass claim. Had a semi throw a rock into the windshield.

Watched a park ranger use his F150 to move a buffalo off the road by nudging it with the bumper.

If any of you have plans that involve travel through western ND and eastern MT and need a motel, better make reservations well in advance. The oil boom has motels booked up.

Heckova buck there. If that is a doe he's standing next to, he's a monster on the body size too.

Anything being planned for a 4 wheeling trip up nort for Memorial weekend? Just trying to figure out what is going on for next weekend.

Got a good deal on an aluminum snowmobile trailer this weekend. Will be nice to actually have my own and not have to borrow one to haul snowmobiles or 4 wheelers.

Oh, and I may have bought something to haul on the trailer too. smile

Bring that stuff up!! We finished another side of the cabin today (soffit fascia)

I have over a hundred pictures of that buck, 10 pointer.

Those are fawns that are playing around him. But he splays his leg stance way out to reach the ground with his mouth.

kind of like a long legged old buck we chased around up here some few years ago that we never caught up with.

Was just looking at MN Dnr and to apply for lottery doe tags must be in by Sept 6... I looked at the map alot of areas are lottery this year... I'm in zone 172... I dont get it 2 yrs ago it was lottery then last year management now lottery again....

Just keep it lottery so we can build up the points like it used to be... Or keep it management with no bonus tags... Quite changing it every year....

Personally they should of keep it lottery for the next 5 yrs..

Rebuild the herd back up and never have it again were you can shoot 5 deer each ever again....

172 should be a lottery. There's not a bunch of deer there from what I've seen the last few years.
