dont you shoot 600 yds backward with a mirror? I think any of those choices are great. I did read about the reticle subtensions on the steiner a couple weeks ago and it did look like they matched up well. Similar to the leupy Boone and Crockett if i recall.

Yep that the 6.5X47L...
I like the ret. Not overly crowded but easily functional once you have a load worked out.

Any suggestions for a long range scope for my 7short that keeps the backpacking weight tolerable? I'm a fan of this one for 500 and beyond. One of the best values out there and only 16 ounces. www.tactical-store.com/ts-lu-rs-m4-4514x40.html

Miller The Swarovski with the bt is good for 700 with my 7mm rm in a 140 or 150 nbt. All you do is simply zero scope for 300. Then dial and drop a ring for 400, 500, and 600. The 700 is a few clicks past that. The good thing about the swaro is you can change loads or bullets without buying new turret. I really liked that over the zeiss or Leupy

Btw with my 7mm rm it is only 3.3" high at a 100 yards. I would think that is good from 0-700yrds
