In a 700 L/A and thinking a repeater that's fun,it'd be a 7mmRemMag. Nice BC's at nice speed, with generous magbox latitude, from which to elicit a harmonious throat...all with veddy veddy modest recoil in exchange for the performance.

Arguement could be made,to opt a 40X mod on the L/A's nether regions and run a single shot 338 Ultra or similar(throated for the high BC 300's). It'd edge the .284's in raw performance, but ain't nearly as much fun to shoot,so wouldn't get used nearly as often. Have noticed a "trend" in which sumptin' what is oftener used, that it do induce copious "luck" in all equations. May as well go straight 1.350" bull,HEAVY fill and ADL inlet and stuff the mag cutout with epoxy slathered lead. All to soak recoil and to make it hang solid on terra firma. Purty easy to get such a build bow heavy and a leaded stock would be key in fending that balance issue.

A build of the ilk,though in s/a and a 223AI no less.

Because I've a 338 Ultra,I'd want another 7mm.(grin)

'tue,

Have oft thought of a 223AI on a S/S Seven.

Mebbe some day.

Not even if they are really really close and I'm using those Barney bullets?

If you use them you will need to keep a few A-Max or something like them in your pocket, just in case you get a shot at 301 YDS.

In contrast, where I'd go to kill grouse (and mountain quail) tomorrow if I was gonna, which is up around Cougar Rez, I'd see multiple flushes in an afternoon. If I didn't, it'd be the first time.

I think my "gun of the night" tonight will be the Clitoris (credit to Art). Always fun to click-clack some Jap steel.

Translation:

There are no grouse where I go grouse hunting but I know of a great place to grouse hunting if I were to actually go grouse hunting which I might. Meaning, I won't.

Travis

Holy schit, did you buy the jeffo Rosetta Stone translator?
Thanks dude.

P.S. I was praying to God that he didn't post the mtn. climbing clitoris pics again.
Thank you sweet baby Jesus..................

Even sweet baby Jesus laughs at Jeffrey.

Took him four paragraphs to explain the entire state of Oregon is not infested with grouse. Almost like there are good spots, and bad spots for hunting. Crazy....

Travis

It took me one line to say it, but MA needed some 'splainin for whatever reason. I don't grouse hunt up there, why would I?

I'll be up there in the woods working hard and shooting LR today. Which is more than the [bleep] can say, as per usual.

Enjoy your computer screens and vivid Imaginations! I know you will. It's what you Do. As in, Nothing.

And SLM, enjoy your goofy hat. Talk about sweet baby jeebus.... got Him hidden in there?

Trav' a 7mm would trump a .338 in fun. Who the [bleep] wants to sit behind a 338 for an MTM ammo box full of fun? Put together a 7RM and enjoy the schit out of it!

And GFY.

Have fun not seeing grouse and shooting inanimate objects. We're very impressed.

I am in full agreement neighbor. Look how warm our fire doth burneth. It is akin to dogs and cats living together.

God bless, GFY, and have a great day,

Shot the new .223AI today with Hornady .223 super performance 75gr BTHP Match to fire-form some cases.

To sum it up: Nula rifles are worth every penny Mr. Forbes charges for one. Four to get it close at 50yards, then the first two groups at 100yards. With a Leupold 6x36 with a fat HD reticle.

There is a 200yard group, but some luck was definitely involved with the HD and you probably would call me a lier anyway.

Nice! HD works well with the diamond targets.

Looks like a shooter! Glad to see NULA rifles now have paint jobs that were applied by someone with a bit more artistic talent than a Kindergardener.

My only question, why the Heavy Duplex?

Also, you suck. I want one now.
