AD; Indeed that is the Partition that I refer to. I've been using them for 40+ years, and have come to rely on them without reservation. Obviously your experience parallels mine!! Regards, Eagleye.

Woodrow, With all due respect I don't see the bullet in your picture as being a premium bullet . It's performance on a deer sized animal could be duplicated by other non-premium bullets. Only my view, not intended to be malicious! GregH

I was hoping for 70%+ rentention IF I recovered one...this one failed by 13% going pretty fast and encountering heavy bone (heavy for a deer that is) immediately. In looking at the rib cage exit I feel that the bullet passed through the offside ribs at a larger diameter than what was recovered, but I did not look for fragments between the offside ribs and the hide, so I cannot confirm this at all. I'm not saying it is the greatest thing since sliced bread and did exactly what it was advertised to do...I'm just saying that so far I'm pleased and don't feel I have any reason to change considering all I hunt is deer and hogs.

lots of opinons on bullets i cant se where there is really any negatives on the scirrocco, i have personally seem 17 elk and 23 muledeer harvested with these bullets from a 7stw,300stw and 300 wetherby, so far only 3 bullets recovered ,quaretring away shots on elk 216yds and 481 yds, both bullets near the heart and about 70percent weight retention, never recovered from a deer no matter what angle and havenot tracked an animal over about 60 yds most bang flop shoulder shots thru both shoulders, in all guns have seen moa accuracy out to 600yds,we have shot about 1300 rouns thru the 3 rifles, iwouldnt hesitate to shoot anything with them................

I think the Scirocco II [color:"red"] is supposed to be a much more accurate bullet than the original [/color] . I know of a few mulies who didnt like a 140 gr Scirocco out of my 7mag in Idaho. this is what I have heard too. Also no more pancaking effect.

Well boys, I ordered a box of 100 of the Scirocco II's in 130 grain to try in my 260 Rem. I have the 129 Hornady Interlock to compare it to from a velosity perspective, accuracy, etc. at 44 dollars including shipping, that is 22 dollars for 50 bullets, I suppose in that perspective, not a bad deal for a premium bullet.
