For what it's worth, I have a 4X14 SII on an M14 type rifle that I use for long range matches. It has had a steady diet of heavy longrange loads for a couple years and it's still alive and well. I have found nothing to complain about on it at all..

I just ordered a Shaw SS 3 1/2 .375 to put on a LH M70. We will see if it will do "minute of bear"......................no Simmons scope though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
