I've been a long time fan of the good old Hornady 75 gr HP...accurate and capable.... and it use to be cheap...

i dunno, it's still only $20 a hundred.

sierra bullets have been a favorite brand of mine for a long time but the BC of the sierras are way lower for the same weight bullet.

What kind of distances are you shooting?

FWIW, I like Sierras a lot myself.

I will go along with Seafire. I have shot the 75 gr. Hornady HP for about 15 years. It has killed a lot of chucks and has been perfectly adequate out past 400 yards. I once shot two 3 shot groups with the gun while sighting, under 1/2" at 200 yards. I really like the combination and chucks hate the gun.

If no big distances, I'd ignore BC, and go with whichever one shot more accurately in your rifle.

I'd also add the 70 grain Ballistic Tip to the testing pool.

All I shoot out of mine are the 75gr V-Max and 75gr HP. Both shoot to the same point of impact with the same loading. Tried the 70gr BT but couldn't get it to shoot well.

70 blitz kings, 55g Nosler ballistic tips. Check the BC of the 55g Nosler then add 3800-3900 fps, run ballistic's table to 400 yards...you will be shocked.
