OP Grizzly Albert Campfire Greenhorn Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 52 Dauphin Island, Alabama	I've got one of the cross bolt safety model 39A rifles and I like it (except for the safety) but when I fire it, it gives a metalic "ping" from one of the springs. Doesn't affect accuracy or anything but is annoying. Anybody else notice the same thing? Any cure? Thanks, Grizzly A day without gunfire is hardly worth living.

Fiddler New Member F Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 20	I'm guessing it's the "rebounding hammer" that you're hearing. They talk a lot about this over at RimfireCentral. I've never understood why Marlin wanted to mess with Perfection. The OLD 39A was a perfect as it gets!
